Poems by the young writers in Dreaming America: Voices of Undocumented Youth in Maximum-Security Detention alongside the work of some of the most daring and influential American poets and artwork from local artist Bahir Al Badry come together to expose a broken promise of freedom and question the fidelity of the American Dream.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy a reading given by local poets on the evening of May 17th at 7pm; Dreaming America will be available for purchase, as well as select poem prints, with all profits donated to Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition.
This exhibit will be displayed through the end of June.
Exhibition curated by Jessica Infanzon in collaboration with Hannah Robinson.
